After many years of wanting a bee hive, I finally took action. I ordered a starter hive from Dadant. Then up to Honey Bee Genetics in Vacaville with two of my daughters to finally pick up some bees. Four pounds of Russian Carniolans and a marked queen. You can see I was very excited and nervous that I might ruin the whole swarm before I even make it 2 hrs home.
